drills could help but i think that u may be throwing ur right sholder down (assuming ur right handed) but to get more height try making and effert to keep ur chest up more and MAKE SURE UR CHIN IS UP!! if u get a good strike with your left arm (again assuming ur right handed) keep ur chest up and chin up. this should work if not reply back n tell me wats goin on.
Good Luck and God bless

I would have to see a video of what you are doing, but chances are you are watching where you are throwing instead of pivioting up with your chest up and head up. Also try to clear your left arm up verses flat or down.

My discs do this too. I've been having trouble with arm placement mainly and watching my throws. They have the power behind them to move, but getting them up is a major issue. I will have to keep these responses in mind.

I also have a problem getting height. It seems they almost nose dive into the ground sometimes. One of my biggest problem is dipping my shoulder during my turn. This caused me to release it lower resulting in a flat throw. During the season i started to fix it and my throws got higher. If you have a video, check to see if your doing the same thing.

Check your video and see if you are crashing (stomping your pivot foot into the ground) if you are your upper body will be down and the discus will come around to fast. Your body will send your brain mixed signals of were you are in your throw and most times you will release before you extend up in the front of the circle. I also have some fun sometimes, if you have really good accuracy and control try throwing through some football uprights, if you don't have the accuracy and control throw up a hill. I know that some of my female athletes can throw their best throws up a hill but can't do it in the ring so be carefull not to get into the mindset of hill but the idea of throwing up!!
